	document.write("As the rain fell, the Stars began bracket play against their rivals, the NTX Elite - R. The Elite earned their spot against the number 1 seed Texas Stars in the double elimination bracket by beating the NTX Elite - C in a hard fought game, 6-5. The Elite got on the scoreboard first scoring their leadoff runner off a fielder’s choice to shortstop and then sat the Stars down in order in the bottom of the 1st. In the second inning, the Elite added another run, but the Stars quickly answered with 7 runs in the bottom half of the inning, sending 9 batters to the plate before an out was recorded. Tony led off the inning with a double to right center field and was quickly batted in by Adam who singled to Right. Collin then singled followed by walks by Bo, Clayton, and Jose and finally a single by Michael before the Elite were able to end the inning. The Elite were not done, however, and pushed across 3 more runs in the 3rd inning before Tony came in to close the door. Pitching then took control of the game and the Elite ended the Star's 4th with the Stars stranding Tony on 3rd after his single. In the Elite's final at bat, the Elite were able to get 2 base runners, but the threat was ended when the Stars caught an Elite base runner trying to steal home followed by Tony striking out the final batter. With the final score of 7-5, the Stars earned a chance to play in the championship where they would have to get beat twice by their opponent.");

	document.write("With the skies threatening again to rainout the ballgame, the Stars took the field for the championship. Their opponent would be the Elite - R who, after their loss to the Stars, took control of their next game and won 15-5, setting up the rematch. Bo started the game on the mound and the Stars defense was solid, ending the first half inning giving up 1 run on 1 hit and a walk. In the bottom half of the first, the Stars took control, racking up 8 runs off 8 hits by Fletcher, Michael, Marco, Tony, Adam, Collin, Bo and Xavier. The top of the second saw the Elite score 3 with the bottom half of their line-up. The defense took control of the game in the bottom of the 2nd through the top of the 4th inning, with both teams sitting down the opponent’s batters in order. Scoring began again in the bottom of the 4th when Collin led off with a single and scored off a single by Xavier. Xavier was then driven home by a single from Sloan and the Stars ended the inning up 10-4. The Stars strong defense again controlled the top of the 5th inning, only allowing 1 run on one double. With momentum clearly on their side and Bo pitching well, the Stars picked up their bats and started the bottom of the 5th inning, but the weather had taken full control, and with 1 on and 1 out the game was postponed due to rain.");

	document.write("On Saturday, with the threat of rain still in the forecast, the Stars looked to close the door on the Elite. Picking up where they had left off on the previous day, with one out and Fletcher on second, Michael stepped to the plate with a 1 ball and 2 strike count. Michael quickly hit a line drive, but it was right at the Elite 3rd baseman who had trouble catching the ball, but because it was sharply hit, was able to throw Michael out at first. The Stars were not done however. With 2 outs, Marco, Tony and Adam each came through with clutch hits scoring 3 runs before the Elite were able to force Collin to pop it up in the infield for the final out of the inning. With a 13-5 lead, the Stars took the field for what they hoped would be the final outs of the game. But the Elite came ready to hit after the 24 hour rain delay, and quickly scored 3 runs of their own off of 3 hits which put an end to Bo's quest for the complete game win. With 1 on and no outs, the change was made to bring in their newly acquired closer, Tony. The Stars quickly responded, throwing out a would-be base stealer at third with a perfect throw from Marco to Michael. With solid control of his fastball and well timed change ups, Tony quickly struck the next two Elite batters, sealing the win and CHAMPIONSHIP for the Stars. For his hot batting and solid performance behind the plate, Marco was awarded the tournament MVP along with all of the Stars getting their Championship Trophies.");
